Area Block Clubs

Block clubs are vital to the quality of life for all neighborhoods. We encourage our residents to get involved.  More than 15 neighborhood block clubs organize and watch over the Slavic Village community.  Involved residents generally meet once a month to address issues and identify solutions and advance projects.  These issues include safety and police relations, code enforcement and neighborhood beautification, noise pollution, housing and commercial development, and traffic issues. In addition, neighborhood issue committees have formed around such issues as education, code enforcement, safety, vacant and abandoned housing as well as neighborhood health care.

•Fullerton Avenue (Fullerton/Fleet/ E. 57th/ E.71st)
•Morgana Run Model Block Club (E. 72nd/ E.74th/E.75th between Aetna and Union)
•Mound SPO (Neighborhood around Mound School)
•Orchard Avenue Association (Kazimer/Krakow/E. 71st)
•Union Community Garden (Union Garden members)
•Warszawa (Warszawa Historic District)
•Warner Turney Neighborhood Organization (Warner Turney Neighborhood)
•Willow SPO (Neighborhood around Willow School)
